Meet the Founder

Shay Fehr, Founder of Not Even Solomon Pressed Floral Inc. 

Shay was born and raised with prairie roots in the south of Saskatchewan in Swift Current aka 'Speedy Creek'. In June of 2017, whilst living at her parents cabin near Nipawin, Saskatchewan, Shay met her now husband, Cody. At the time, Shay was working in Nipawin as a pharmacy intern. In 2018, Shay proceeded to graduate university and take a permanent position in the area. She is still a practicing pharmacist today and loves helping her patients. 

Shay and her family now reside just outside of Nipawin in the quaint village of Love where her and Cody raise their two beautiful sons, Merek and Sonny.

Shay began her flower journey in 2021 where she began by gifting cute, frame-able flower arrangements to friends and family. On the back of each creation was a Bible verse, prayed and meditated over for the recipient. Her hope was, and still is today, to love and encourage her friends and family in Christ. Overtime, Shay was inspired to create not just pressed floral arrangements, but to use the pressed flowers to artistically express in her own, unique way, the beloved truths from the Word of God. 

Shay is incredibly passionate about growing and pressing flowers. She is inspired by how creative her God is and is empowered by Him to 'create' as well. Back when she stumbled upon flower pressing, she instantly loved the soothing flower pressing process and now finds great joy in designing pressed flower creations. This process is her time to rest and refuel, but more importantly, time to spend with the Lord; to worship and honour Him praying that Jesus' name be glorified through the art.

Her heart is to share the love of Jesus with those around in her projects, even if that project just displays simple flowers. She places the deepest of love into every art piece and hopes you might feel that love pour through the paper as you receive the art into your heart and home.
